Fatores associados à prevalência ao excesso de peso corporal em técnicos de enfermagem que atuam em turnos

Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar os fatores associados ao excesso de peso corporal em técnicos de enfermagem que atuam em turnos, além de estimar a prevalência de sobrepeso e obesidade nessa população. Foi realizado um estudo transversal, analítico e quantitativo, com coleta de dados entre março e maio de 2022 no Hospital Municipal Universitário de Rio Verde - Goiás. Participaram 198 técnicos de enfermagem, com idades entre 18 e 60 anos, que trabalhavam em diferentes turnos. A avaliação do excesso de peso foi realizada pelo cálculo do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC), com base nas medições de peso e altura dos participantes. Também foram coletadas informações sobre variáveis demográficas, socioeconômicas, nutricionais, comportamentais, profissionais, de saúde mental e sono. Análises de regressão logística bivariada e multivariada foram conduzidas. A análise revelou que 53,5% dos participantes apresentaram excesso de peso, sendo 36,7% com sobrepeso e 16,8% com obesidade. Fatores associados ao excesso de peso incluíram a ausência de companheiro (OR=2,66; p=0,012), escolaridade inferior a 15 anos (OR=3,21; p=0,006), maior tempo de profissão (OR=1,08; p=0,005) e consumo de fast food (OR=3,72; p=0,003). Além disso, profissionais com sintomas de estresse (OR=2,34; p=0,050) e ansiedade (OR=2,03; p=0,045) apresentaram maior probabilidade de excesso de peso. O estudo evidenciou uma alta prevalência de excesso de peso entre os técnicos de enfermagem que atuam em turnos, sugerindo a necessidade de estratégias de promoção da saúde para prevenir e controlar o sobrepeso e a obesidade nessa população.
